Meeting with Former Taiwanese Prime Minister Su and Golden Village for the Elderly Dinner Gala

On Saturday June 15th Senator Thanh Hai Ngo met with the former Taiwanese Premier Mr. Su, MP Lois Brown the Conservative Representative for Newmarket, Ontario and Mr. John Mackay, the Liberal Representative for Scarborough-Guildwood, Ontario. They were joined by other delegates for the International Committee Free Vietnam, Taiwan to discuss the growing positive relations between Canada and Taiwan.Following this meeting, Senator Thanh Hai Ngo spoke to the elder community at the Golden Age Village at the request of the Venerable Thich Thien Tam. The Senator expressed his gratitude to the older generation of citizens who have helped to build Canada today. He also acknowledged that Canada recognizes the need for measures that would improve the quality of life and expand opportunities for Canadian seniors.
