Freedom Scarves at Queen’s Park
April 21, 2016
Senator Ngo was invited to attend a historical event at the Ontario Legislature at Queen’s Park on the morning of Thursday, April 21. The event was significant because it was the first time that all members of the Provincial Parliament wore the Vietnamese freedom scarves, commemorating the first anniversary of the Journey to Freedom Day Act that was passed by the Conservative government last year.
Senator Ngo then traveled to Montreal to meet with community members there and attended a flag-raising ceremony at Mont-Royal city hall with the mayor and other politicians.
