Commemoration in honour of King Hùng Vương

April 22, 2018

On April 22, the Vietnamese Cultural Society invited Senator Ngo to attend a Vietnamese traditional ceremony in honour the death of King Hùng Vương. According to legend, the Hùng Kings were the founders of what is now Vietnam as they created a national order that would result in a strong and sovereign country. Held every year on the 10th of the third lunar month, the anniversary of King Hùng’s death remains an honoured tradition among the Vietnamese people and is commemorated by honoring their national history with friends and loved ones. The commemorative event took place at the Army and Navy Airforce Veterans Centre in Mississauga.
